He has completed Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, M.E.- CAD/CAM at Kongu Engineering College, Erode, B.E. Mechanical Engineering at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. After completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in Sakthi Institute of Technology, Sakthi Nagar in 1992 with the gold medal, he has 9 years of industrial experience in briquette fuel manufacturing. He started his teaching profession from June 2008 onwards at KSRCT. He has published 10 International Journals, 12 International Conference, 10 National Conference and filled 2 patents. He is a Research Supervisor in Mechanical Engineering under Anna University, Chennai, and also a reviewer of several top-tier academic journals including Elsevier and Interscience.
Dr. N. Tiruvenkadam is one of the pioneer faculty in the KSRCT campus who took many innovation and entrepreneurship awareness regarding activities. He took the position of Institution’s Coordinator for implementing KSRCT Innovation and startup policy to students, faculty, and alumni in 2020. His work on implementing National Innovation Startup Policy (NISP) 2019 in KSRCT academic curriculum is highly appreciable. He is a NISP Institution Ambassador for KSRCT.
He was also appointed as the President for Institutions Innovation Council(IIC) of K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology under Ministry of Education from the initiation November 2018. Under his visionary leadership of IIC, he has created various initiatives to create awareness regarding Innovation, Startup, and Entrepreneurship. Under his mentorship and guidance, KSRCT IIC got a 5-star performance rating from the Ministry of Education, Government of India 2020-21.
He has completed the NPTEL course on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Business Model. Also, he is Head for Centre for Innovation Startups (CIS), and Chief Coordinator for Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC). He has attended 4 DST-sponsored FDP , 50+ Innovation ,Entrepreneurship programs,he has delivered several guest lectures in the field of Start-up and entrepreneurship.
He is also actively involved in various Industry connect initiatives through which he connected a considerable number of Industries and pitched for establishing a Centre of Excellence on the campus for next-generation skill development for students such as the KSR Centre of Excellence for Manufacturing (KSRCEM). With his involvement as a Centre Head, the latest Industry 4.0 era equipment’s like 3D printer, reverse engineering under industrial automation, CNC Machining laboratories were established and providing skills to the students.
From December 2018 to September 2019 he was one of the incubate in KSRCT and established a Startup company “P11 Innovators Private Limited”, Tiruchengode along with 02 Faculty directors and 09 Faculty shareholders and served as a Managing Director from November 2019 to April 2021, during his period idea generation to commercialization of millet cookies throughout South India. Now the company is growing to reach the global market.
He is the nodal person for the proposed DST- inclusive Technology Business Incubation (iTBI) at KSRCT. His research interest is nano metal matrix composite, 3D printing filament material development, new product developments for social and technical problems, energy conservation, Tribology, Drone development for the agricultural sector and create Startup through innovation etc., He is also a Coordinator for MSME Business Incubation Centre at KSRCT.
