The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science was started in 2020 with the goal of training students and conducting research in the fields of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a 4-year undergraduate Engineering Degree programme. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are one of the most rapidly growing technologies which has high lucrative prospects across the globe in all industries. This course aims to bring up budding engineers as connoisseurs in Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and other underlying fields of Artificial Intelligence. A well-deployed teaching-learning process of K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology inculcates the young aspiring minds of the students by analyzing the learning needs of every student and provides a conducive environment for learning with parental care. The core Faculty team with well-experienced, dedicated, highly qualified and expertise in the domain area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science augments the learning capabilities of the students and facilitate them to understand the fundamental concepts through innovative methods of teaching. The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science has laboratories with high-end processing systems with seamless Wi-Fi connectivity, essential software and tools which helps the students to unleash their curiosity to practically implement the methods, algorithms learned in theory classes and analyze the results.

Dr. S. Sarumathi is a Professor & Head in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology. She has received her M.E and Ph.D. degree from Anna University, Chennai. She has a teaching experience of 27 plus years in total. Her research interests include Data Mining, Data Science, IoT and Networking. She is currently mentoring MSME funded project focusing on healthcare systems and its challenges in the Internet of Medical Things. She has published more than 25 papers in International Refereed Journals and 10 papers in Conferences. She has authored 2 book chapters, 2 books and 4 patents. She is involved in many International Conferences as Technical Chair. She is an active member of ISTE.

He has published papers in several international journals and conferences. His areas of research interest include image retrieval using hierarchical agglomerative and K-Means clustering algorithms. Dr. M. Tamilarasi is an Associate Professor in the Department of AI&DS, K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology. She has received her M.E and Ph.D. degree from Anna University. She has received a Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers and Trainers at Professional level. She has a teaching experience of 16 years in total. Her research interests include Fullstack Development, Data Science and Software Testing. She has published more than 15 papers in International Refereed Journals and Conferences. She has filed 4 patents and published it. She has 6 scholars under her guidance in Anna University. She is currently mentoring a funded project on Smart Livestock management System using Digital Technology. She has involved as Technical Chair in many International Conferences, Symposium Events and Project Contests. Furthermore, his inventive spirit is showcased through his involvement in filing 3 patents.
