About Department
The Department of Mathematics is one of the most prominent Department in K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode. It was established in the year 1994. It is committed to teach various mathematics courses for both under graduate and post graduate programmes. The total members of faculty in the department are 17, with 9 doctorates and 7 pursuing their doctoral programmes. Four of our faculty members have been recognized as research supervisors by Anna University, Chennai. The department has a separate library and computer laboratory conducive for carrying out the research. The members of faculty are actively engaged in performing research to implement the innovative ideas in various fields like Differential Equations, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Intuitionistic Fuzzy, Graph Theory, Fuzzy Differential Equations, Numerical Methods and Image Processing and consistently publishing papers in refereed National, International Journals and Conferences. The software’s available in the department related to research are MATLAB, Ansys, SPSS, Scilab and R Programming. Department of Mathematics is collaborated with various engineering departments to effectuate multidisciplinary research.

Dr.K.Senthilvadivu is a Professor & Head in the Department of Mathematics, K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode . She has received her Master of Science and Master of Philosophy from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and Doctorate from Anna University,Chennai. She has a teaching experience of 29 years. Her research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Data Analytics and Image Processing. She has been acted as Deputy Controller of Examinations from 2010 to 2017. She has published 15 papers in refereed National and International journals. She has published 4 papers in National and International Conferences. She has authored 4 textbooks and 1 book chapter. Dr. C.Chandran is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode, Tamilnadu, India. He have received B.Sc., from C N C College in 1985,M.Sc., from PSG College of Arts and Science in 1987, M.Phil., from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1996 and Ph.D from Periyar University in 2012. The teaching experience of 33 years in total. The research area is Differential Equations. I have published more than 08 papers in reputed journals. Also I have worked as a chief examiner in Anna University &Periyar University. I am one of the mathematics board member in Anna University during 2000 to 2001.

Dr. N. Uthirasamy is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu, India. He received his B.Sc. degree in 1997 from Sri Vasavi College, Erode, and his M.Sc. degree in 2000 from Erode Arts College, Erode, both under Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He obtained his M.Phil. degree in 2005 from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, and completed his Ph.D. in 2015 at Periyar University, Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. He has contributed a book chapter on Soft Computing Engineering Applications and possesses a total teaching experience of 22 years and 8 months. His primary research interest lies in Fuzzy Differential Equations, and he is currently collaborating with a research group focusing on this domain. He has published more than seven research papers in international refereed journals and five papers in international conferences. Additionally, he is an active life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and is engaged in collaborative research with international authors. He is currently serving as the Deputy Controller of Examinations in his institution.

Dr. N. Lalithamani is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode, Tamilnadu, India. She is an active member of Indian Society of Technical Education, International Society for Research and Development, World Research Council and Math Tech Thinking Foundation. He is currently working with a research group focusing on Numerical and Fuzzy image processing. He has published more than 25 papers in International Referred Journals (SCI,SCIEand Scopus indexed) and 17 papers in conferences.He acted as a reviewer for the various reputed National journals and International Journals. He is an active member of Indian Society of Technical Education, Institute for Engineering Research and Publication and Math Tech Thinking Foundation. He gave CSIR sponsored programmed guest lecturer. He has received one patent (Design Number 405906 -001) in design to Nut Dehusking Machine on January 2024. Dr.S.Muthukumar received his M.Sc. degree in Mathematics from Periyar University in 2005 and M.Phil., degree in Mathematics from Bharathidasan University in 2006. He completed his Ph.D. in mathematics in Periyar University in 2020. His areas of research interest are computational fluid dynamics and heat and mass transfer in enclosures. He has been working in the Department of Mathematics at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, Namakkal since June 2006. He has over 17 years of teaching experience. Her expertise in mathematics is underscored by her extensive publication record, having presented research articles in international and national journal As an educator, Dr.K.Kiruthika is renowned for her dynamic teaching style and her ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts with clarity and precision. Her 15 years of teaching experience have equipped her with a wealth of pedagogical strategies, enabling her to inspire and empower students to excel in their mathematical endeavours. Dr.K.Kiruthika’s dedication to fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating learning environment has earned her the admiration and respect of both colleagues and students alike. She acts as an institution-level NBA accreditation process coordinatorand plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of accreditation procedures. Dr.D.Senthil Raja is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode. He has a teaching experience of 21 years and 5 months in total. (Engineering College: 17.6 years and Polytechnic College: 3.11 years). He has received his M.Sc in Mathematics from Erode Arts College, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and M.Phil in Mathematics from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. He completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics at Periyar University, Salem. His research interests include Impulsive and Fractional Differential Equations. He has published 12 papers in International Refereed Journals which includes SCEI – 1, Scopus – 4, WOS – 1. He presented five papers at an international conference. He is acting as an RRC Programme Officer at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, the RRC is an active unit contributing to student awareness and community health initiatives. He is an active member of ISTE. He was awarded First Prize (Chapter Level Exam) and Third Prize (Zonal Level Exam) in the Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Competition in 2013. Dr. D. Tamizharasan has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu, India, since July 2009. He earned his M.Sc. in Mathematics from Bharathidasan University in 2005 and his M.Phil. in Mathematics from the same university in 2006. His Ph.D. in Mathematics was completed at Anna University in 2022. With a total of 18 years of teaching experience, he previously held positions as a Lecturer and Head of the Mathematics department at Karuppannan Mariappan Arts & Science College, Muthur, from 2006 to 2009. Dr. Tamizharasan's research interests encompass Differential Equations and Inclusions, Fractional Differential Equations, Fixed Point Theory, and Numerical Methods, among others. He has authored 7 papers in SCI-indexed journals and 2 papers in Scopus-indexed journals. Additionally, he has contributed as a reviewer for journals such as Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems and Journal of Inequalities and Applications – Springer Nature (SNAPP), as well as reviewing a book chapter.
