The Department of Tamil at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology is dedicated to promoting the rich heritage and literary excellence of the Tamil language. Established to foster a deep appreciation for Tamil literature and culture among engineering students, the department offers courses that enhance communication skills, cultural awareness, and ethical values.
The department actively engages students through seminars, workshops, and literary events, encouraging participation in Tamil Mandram and other cultural forums. Faculty members are committed to nurturing students’ linguistic abilities and instilling a sense of pride in their mother tongue, while also supporting research and creative writing.
By integrating Tamil studies into the engineering curriculum, the department aims to produce well-rounded graduates who are not only technically proficient but also culturally rooted and socially responsible.

Ms. Kiruthika S is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tamil at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology. She holds B.A., M.A., B.Ed., and is UGC-NET qualified.
