About Department

The Department of CSE(Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning)established in the year 2022 offers one Bachelor Programme in the stream of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The UG Programme’s curriculum and syllabus are periodically reviewed/re-framed in pace with global scenario in the domain of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning . The Bachelor Programme curriculum comprises major thrust areas like Deep Learning, Design thinking and innovation, Natural Language Processing, Augmented and Virtual Reality which are all on par with industrial standards. The smart classroom and laboratory facilities provides supportive environment for the students and faculty members. The well-structured curriculum and proper placement training help the students to place in government and private sectors.

The PEOs of UG Programme

    PEO1: Graduates will provide effective solutions for software and hardware industries by applying the concepts of basic science and engineering fundamentals.
    PEO2: Graduates will be professionally competent and successful in their career through life-long learning.
    PEO3: Graduates will contribute individually or as member of a team in handling projects and demonstrate social responsibility and professional ethics.


The POs of UG Programme

    PO1: Engineering Knowledge – Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to solve complex engineering problems.
    PO2: Problem Analysis – Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems to reach substantiated conclusions using principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
    PO3: Design/Development of Solutions – Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs with consideration for public health, safety, cultural, societal, and environmental factors, including project management and finance.
    PO4: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems – Use research-based knowledge and research methods, including experiment design, data analysis and interpretation, and synthesis of information, to provide valid conclusions.
    PO5: Engineering Tool Usage – Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex engineering activities with an understanding of their limitations.
    PO6: The Engineer and The World – Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues, and understand responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.
    PO7: Ethics – Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics, responsibilities, and norms of engineering practice.
    PO8: Individual and Collaborative Team Work – Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings.
    PO9: Communication – Communicate effectively with the engineering community and with society at large, through effective reports, presentations, and clear instructions.
    PO10: Project Management and Finance – Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of management and financial principles and apply these to one’s own work as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.
    PO11: Life-long Learning – Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in, independent and lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological change.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:
    PSO1: Apply standard Software Engineering practices and strategies in software project development using open-source programming environment and deliver a quality product for business success.
    PSO2: Analyze and Interpret data by applying advanced data analytic models for decision making in Complex Problems and facilitate inter disciplinary research.

Dr.C.Rajan is a Professor and Head of the CSE (AIML) department at K. S. Rangasamy College of Technology, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. He is having 20 years of experience in Academic and Research. He completed his B.E. Computer Science and Engineering in Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering and M.E. Computer Science and Engineering. His Ph.D., from Anna University, Chennai. He have published over 75 research papers, authored five books, and holds a patent. He has received several awards, including Best faculty Award in 2021,2022,2023 and FAER Scholar Award in 2023. His research interests includes Soft computing, Network Security, and Machine Learning.

The Department of CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) at K.S. This prestigious event was graced by the esteemed presence of the college's Principal Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan, the Head of the Department Dr. C. Rajan and the Chief Guest Mr.G.Gajendran, an accomplished professional in the field of technology. Their inspiring addresses set a forward-thinking tone for the department's vision and the association's goals. As part of this memorable occasion, Mrs. R.S. Sivaranjani, Assistant Professor in AIML, was officially appointed as the President of AEVA. She introduced the office bearers, comprising a dynamic team of students and faculty members committed to advancing the association's objectives. The inauguration also celebrated the remarkable achievements of the department, showcasing the collective efforts of faculty and students.
