The Food Safety Club, established in 2017, promotes awareness, education, and implementation of safe food practices to prevent foodborne illnesses. It conducts educational workshops on food handling, storage, and preparation, along with awareness campaigns using posters, flyers, and social media. Through community engagement, the club supports local businesses in following food safety regulations, while training sessions equip food handlers with essential knowledge on hygiene, sanitation, and cross-contamination prevention. Additionally, it collaborates with organizations and government agencies on food safety inspections and initiatives. Strengthening its mission, the club was officially inaugurated on September 7, 2023 (2:00 to 4:00 PM) by Mr. V. Manikanda Arumugam, Manager (Legal), Food Corporation of India, Coimbatore, during which its members were declared. Through these efforts, the club continues to enhance food safety awareness, empowering individuals and businesses to maintain high safety standards for a healthier community.
